Cookie CRAZY

Well, since it is bit of a tradition for Jillian and I to bakecookies at Christmas, I had to do it. We made close to 5 dozen cut-outs last weekend, but since the kids all got sick, they never were decorated :-( SOOOO if anyone out there is bored, come over for a cookie decorating party!

so we can have a STREP FREE Christmas!

OH yes....I thought that Jillian and Jenna were suffering from the flu Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, but it turned out to be STREP! I didn't realize that vomiting and fever were a sign of strep. I only know this because Nate had a fever for a few days and has a nose that never stops running and so I took him in and he tested positive for strep and RSV! Thankfully, he got the shots last year for RSV and so he has some immunity, so he shouldn't get hit too hard, but MAN!!! So after hearing the results of his test, I decided to take the girls in too. Jill tested positive, Jenna didn't but she was less than cooperative about letting the nurse swap her throat and so they don't think that got a good result...So now our refridgerator is full of the "pink stuff"....the doctor's said that they will be near 100% within 24-36 hours.....thank goodness!

If anyone has any suggestions as how I can deal with this rat's nest, I'd greatly appreciate it. She has such baby fine, thin hair. I guess we'll just keep dealing with it....

I don't think I'm posting any more pics to my webpage. It took me nearly 20 minutes to get the 12 month shot of Nate added. It is too tempermental! I love BLOGGING! Look here on this site for updates!

Happy Birthday!

THANK YOU to all of you who helped to celebrate Jenna's 3rd birthday and our little Nathan's first! Our theme was "Superman/ Supergirl" because I felt that it truly represents our little miracle Nathan and everything he went through only a year ago. Look Who's WALKING!

Yep....he's off running! Of course, he's falling too!!! Nate decided to give walking a try a few days ago. He doesn't quite have it figured out, but he loves trying!

Trick or Treat!

I didn't take a bunch of Halloween pics this year...I'm a loser. I just figured I had some from the Monster Mash Bash....I still may get a few more of the kids in their costumes with a special background...we'll see...I've got tons to do....birthdays are a'coming! Of course, we celebrated this special holiday with our buddies, the Marlows. Nikki is that fourth child in the pics (I didn't have another one!!!!)---not yet anyway_______________that last remark was a TRICK!!!!! Trust me there will be no more little Snyders running around. Nate is the only hope of carrying on the namesake.

I also included a few pictures of Jillian's Halloween party and parade from school. She had a blast and really loves Kindergarten! Her teacher says that she is coming out more and more every day!

The girls had a great time with pumpkins again this year. I was a bit disappointed that our pumpkins had very little pulp and seeds. The best part of pumpkin carving is roasting the seeds!!! O-Well. I thought Miss Jenna Mae would not want to do the messy stuff, but as soon as she saw Jillian dive in, she was there!

"Do the Mash"... "Do the Monster Mash"

Our PTO hosts a Halloween dance for the kids. It is called the Monster Mash Bash. The kids get to dress up and dance and it is a great time. We went on Friday night and the kids had a blast! Jillian was a dancing fool! Look close, she's doing the hokey pokey and the locomotion. I knew that she had to have a little bit of her mom in her! I'm also thrilled that the kids had another opportunity to wear those halloween costumes! Once Jenna got past her "issues" even she had a great time!

GREASE is the word...

Hey have you heard about the next NBC reality show? It is called "The One that I (or We) Want"....they are looking for two people to play the lead in the next broadway production of Grease and so NBC is actually making it a show where people try out and stuff....CRAZY...but you know I'll be watching (Not that anyone even can compare to my baby, JOHN TRAVOLTA)...I really wanted Nate to be named Jon Joseph after him, but Bud wasn't too thrilled with the idea -hey, I was going to spell it differently ;-) Anyway, watch for it come January...for more info, check out NBC.COM.

I know, I know....OBSESSED!!

From the inspiration of another on 2peas (a scrapbooking site), I extended my scrapbooking obsession into Halloween in a whole new way. YES...those are real pumpkins and YES... they are covered with scrapbook paper. Every year our school hosts a pumpkin raffle for the kids and the staff is asked to decorate pumpkins...well, I ended up doing four (The Tiger Fan was actually Shelly's pumpkin, but I ended up doing it while she entertained the kids). Anyway, two of the four ended up expressing my obsession. You gotta admit...pretty cool, huh?
