OOOPS!!!! We did it again.......

Just call me "Fertile Mertle". If you are reading this in disbelief, trust me, I'm with you. I have gone through all the emotions.....denial, disbelief, grief, fright, anger, and now--- acceptance. I know that happy, excited, and anxious will come (once the shock wears off!). I have to believe that this has happened for a reason. I know that I have always said four would be good, but Bud couldn't handle it or whatever....but I said that knowing that I was "done". Now that I am not "done", I realize that I really DID want to be....I've been a bit of a mess, I must say....but I am calling this my "Unexpected Blessing". I think that after everything I went through with Nathan, I was so depressed that I was screwed out of the whole welcoming a new baby to the family and having those few weeks to get to know him and the girls getting to come to the hospital to meet him and now I think this may be the way to help me get over that. I still think about how I didn't get to hold and love on my baby for soo long and then when he was home, I was almost afraid of him. I couldn't share him with the world. So, I keep telling myself that we will get through this even though I GOT RID OF ALL MY BABY STUFF!!!!!! (HEY HEIDI----I'll be needing the rest of those maternity clothes back!) I was supposed to be DONE!!!! I was ready for my body to be mine again! Girls---when your momma tells you that it only takes one time-----LISTEN!!! Never did I think that after ONE time (without actually trying!) would this happen....not to mention that it was really late in my cycle...thought that window of opportunity was closed....OOOPS! Well, though I haven't officially been to the doctor, I've done this enough to know that my due date is September 11th or 12th. By the way, I haven't told many about this (not even my family), so if you're reading this now, you may be one of the first to know!

SOMEBODY---ANYBODY---Buy my house!

Well, our 4 month listing expired and we decided to relist. I offered some extras and we recently painted and recarpeted the entire family room downstairs. We threw out a bunch of furniture too. People are starting to remark that my house looks "bare". I created a small blog just to advertise pictures and info of my house (better than what the loser realtor's do). I want to write the addy on my info flyers. it would also allow people to contact me with more questions. I didn't finish it yet with MLS numbers or the address or contact info yet because since we are relisting, it is like starting over with all new, so I am waiting for the new numbers. We are considering sticking our necks out and buying our other house and hope like hell this one sells before the builder finishes. The way I see it, they still have a few months of work left to do and I can attempt to drag it out. I told my realtor to offer them $10,000 less than our first offer without a contingency to sell our current one, and see what kind of reaction she gets....a link is here to the house blog...send it to everyone in your address book...someone out there must know someone looking for a house....

My POLKA DOT girl

Just as we arrived at Birthday party (with other little kids around), I noticed that Jenna had a couple of spots on her face, arms and belly. My first thought was CHICKEN POX! We went home and waited a couple hours and realized that they were multiplying like crazy. Pictures of chicken pox didn't look like these, so off we went to the ER because urgent care was already closed. Turns out to most likely be an allergic reaction to her amoxicillin. I guess it is not uncommon for reactions to occur at the END of it's treatment. Even though she has had a few times before for ear infections and such, for whatever reason she is now sensitive to it. Well, as far as we know it was the amoxil, we couldn't figure out what else it would have been. Jenna kept saying that she had polka dots and that is where my title comes from! If it isn't one thing, it is another!

When ADULTS play with KID'S toys

looks kinda like Bud...dontcha think?

Santa Arrives

The kids made out like bandits with Santa. 'nough said.

Christmas with the O'Learys

Christmas Eve was spent with my parents and my cousin Bridgette's family (sorry--didn't get a good picture of those guys!). Nate was a bit less clingy and got into it a bit. The "big" gift was their new Jeep. It is much larger than the one they had and is a better fit for Jillian. We suspecit at some point all three kids will want to cruise the yard and since the Jeeps are only two seaters, we decided to get another. My parents, Uncle Steve and my grandparents all went in with Bud and I to buy this bad boy. It was on sale after Thanksgiving and we also got a discount from my brother in law who works at the store we bought it from.

Gingerbread House

Jillian was home sick the day her class made gingerbread houses at school, but her sweet teacher saved her all the goodies for me to do it with her at home. She was so excited about making them at school that I was grateful for her teacher's kindness! I really didn't want her to miss out entirely!

Christmas with the Gearharts

Christmas was nice. The kids had a great time (except Nathan who has become a major momma's boy and cried and clung to me most of the night). I didn't get many pictures, but here are a few.

HI, I'm Candy

I have had some requests to see a picture of what I looked like when I attended Maria and John's Murder Mystery Dinner. The character that I was assigned was named Candy and was a bit of a tramp. The information on my character stated that she was a blond bombshell, who had blonde hair, flashy jewerly, bright lipstick and flash fingernails. I decided to really play up my part....here was the result! Pretty scary, huh?
