They could be in the Wyandotte Fourth of July parade, but I couldn't bring myself to drop the $90 for uniforms (which were required)....anyway, this video shows what they would be doing in the parade if they were attending.....

Built Ford Tough!?

I just wanted to show those of you out there who want a new puppy what new puppies like to do....Meet Samson, a gorgeous Rhodesian Ridgeback belonging to Greg and Sarah. He is absolutely wonderful, just don't lock him your new LEASED Ford Explorer or else! Build Ford tough? Yeah, right!

Found an alternative to the doorway jumper! Our subdivision had a sale and I found this jumperoo...it is not as exciting as the doorway one, but it definitely safer!!!

New members of our "little" family

Crazy?--Oh yeah, but Jillian has expressed an interest in having a pet and we have been holding it over hers and Jenna's head....Jill proved to me that she is responsible enough (and always has been---I just wanted to hassle her and get some cleaning done---I'm bad, I know) and Jenna has been having some toilet success....of course there's more to that story that won't be on the blog....Anyway, the girls went to Critters Pet Shop in Allen Park and picked out these sweet little baby rats. Those who know me well know that I grew up with rats as pets and had one until adulthood...they have a bad reputation, but really are sweet, affectionate critters. Jenna and Nate adore them...Jillian loves to pet them and talk to them, but is nervous holding them... They aren't used to people and tend to run all over. It scared Jill the first time she held one. so I have been spending time every day holding them, trying to socialize them a bit...Anyway, Jenna's rat is Cha-cha and is black and white...Pipsqueak is Jillian's critter and is the tan and white one...

1st Grade!!

Jillian on the last day of 1st grade with her teacher Ms. Hubbard....Also showing off her behavior card which she flipped once because she was too shy to tell the gym teacher that she did have shorts on under her skirt....(he thought she didn't come prepared for class and she didn't tell him otherwise)...O-well, she'll learn! Last is one of some classmates...

Jillian's 7th Birthday

We did our traditional pool party at my mom and dad's house. the kids' (and adults) enjoyed pizza (Roma's), icecream cake (DQ), and of course, the pool!

What's going on....

Updating my blog is something I'll try to find more time to do. THough I am thinking about doing it once a month with the high-lights for the month....I really want to spend my summer break scrapbooking (duh!), but I have been running kids to doctors' appointments instead....But so far, in June....Jillian became an official 2nd grader....Jillian turned 7 years old....The girls became cheerleaders, we've added two new members to our family (Cha-cha and Pipsqueak), I turned 33 years old....and Nolan found a more suitable jumping system....I'll post pictures of what I can...others will follow when I get a chance.

I need to find an acceptable alternative to this doorway jumper....Nolan is truly testing it's ability to hold him safely. He loves it so much that I hate to take it from him. I might have to see if the newer jump ups can be adjusted more so that he can still use it. He hasn't reached the weight capacity. He just is a bit too wild in it. I love watching him. He gets so excited and jumps until he's out of breath..

Just a picture of the daisy that has bloomed in our backyard (thanks to Terry Lewis for giving me so many great plants for the yard)....I'll post more when the rest start to bloom. There's also a shot of the robin and her baby that is nesting in our front yard.
